About My Media Database

Have you ever seen a great deal on a DVD and couldn't remember if you already owned it? How do you keep track of which seasons of your favorite show you have? I've run into these problems more times than I'd like admit. This is why I have created a table to store my media. It gives me the ability to filter the records when I'm looking for something to watch, search the all of the records for something specific, or view all of my collection just to browse what I have.

Selecting "Display All" will generate a list of all media in my collection (movies, tv shows, and video games). The title of each is a link to details about that record, including a brief synopsis. (This is handy when multiple records have similar titles.)

For a more specific list, you can filtering the data. For example, you might only want to see what programs are available in digital format, or you're in the mood for all things Star Wars. "Filter Data" offers a variety of options to fine tune the results.

If you know a key word that might be in the title or description, you could use the "Search Data" option. You can either search all columns or just Title, Description, Starring, or Directors (if you know where the key word should be).

Select this option to simply display my entire collection of media.

Apply one or several filters to narrow the number of records displayed.

Search all of the columns or just specific ones, such as the title.
